Evening of Arts

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Evening of Arts! We had a great time and hope that you did too. We love how our community comes together to help and support one another.

Space Coast Ballet Company Collaborates with the Space Coast Community

Striving to work jointly with artists of the Space Coast community, SCBC has been honored to participate in the Cultural Arts Showcase since it's beginnings. For several years, SCBC dancers performed on stage while the Brevard Symphony Orchestra played upstage.  In 2017, SCBC reached out to Brevard County's world renowed local artist, Derek Gores, to design the program cover for the Nutcracker. An Evening of Arts was held at his studio in the Eau Gallie art district to unveil his program cover design.  This year, working jointly with the Foosaner Art Museum,  SCBC presented An Evening of Arts on September 21st from 6pm-9pm. Food was catered by Meg O'Malley's, Chart House, Squid Lips, Sue Ann's Bakery.  Beverages were provided by Hell & Blazes.  Entertainment was provided by SCBC dancers and Astronaut Capt. Winston Scott and his Cosmic Jazz Ensemble.  Live auctioneer was Sheriff Wayne Ivey. Proceeds  will benefit under-served, Title 1 school children in the Brevard community to be able to see The Nutcracker for free, in addition to supporting the ability for Space Coast Ballet Company to bring dancers and non-dancers together from the Space Coast community to dance on the King Center stage in The Nutcracker.
